Here are a few important people mentioned in this section of the website with a short description for better understanding.
Robert Ley
Robert Ley volunteered at the start of the First World War as part of a artillery unit, and he went on becoming a artillery spotter. He was taken as a prisoner of war in July 1917 when the airplane he boarded was shot down. Ley was enraged when the French and Belgian invaded the Ruhr, which led him to join the Nazi party. As a loyal Nazi follower, Ley was taken into the inside of the party by Hitler and was appointed head of the German Labour Front, and was in charge of the programme Strength Through Joy. Although he had problems with excessive drinking, and was in many ways unable to cope with his works, Hitler refused to listen to these problems, and helped him gain a strong position within the party. After failing to take the last stand with Hitler he was arrested and committed suicide on October 24th 1945.

Richard Walther Darré
Like Robert Ley, Richard Darre was also part of the artillery unit during the First World War, and as a close friend of Heinrich Himmler, Darre joined the NSDAP (Simkin). He came up with the idea of Blood and Soil (Blut und Boden) and was interested in the agriculture development in Germany. Darre was appointed by Hitler as the Reich Minister for Food and Agriculture within the Nazi government, as well as being elected as the President of the German Agricultural Society in 1933 (Simkin). Darre was eventually dismissed by Hitler due to the problems with food supply during the war. He was arrested in 1945 and was sentenced 5 years in jain.
