During the war, he was hospitalized since he had a serious rheumatism.The main reason for rheumatism was trench warfare. After the war, he stayed in his army and met two important people. First was his future wife. The other was the Adolf Hitler. Goering met him and Joined the NSDAP in 1922.

After Goering Joined the Party, He was given the command of SA as Oberster SA-Führer. When there was the Beerhall Putsch in 1923,he was the head at the march. As a result, he shot in his leg. Because of this failed revolution, many people in the Nazi including Hitler was arrested. However, with Carin, who was Goering's wife, he smuggled to Innsbruck. At there, he was able to get a chance for recovery and get the morphine. This was the beginning of his morphine addiction. Because of this addiction, Goering had to cure in the mental hospital for few years. After he come back, he got one of the seat in Reichstag and became an Reichprastag of Weimar Republik in 1928. After became the Reichprastag, Goering helped Hitler to become Furher for various ways. Firstly, he forced Hindenburg by many political way, made him to pick Hitler at the election held in 1933. After the Reichstag burn, Goering helped Hitler to introduce one bill. The main point of Bill was to lend many powers to Hitler. Goering quicly arrested many opponent parties, such as German Communist party. Finally, the law was passed.
